HLS12: It’s Always a Good Time!
HLS12 hasn’t even begun yet and already I am having a wonderful time here. Absolutely no regrets about registering!
My travel morning went well; was up bright and early to be at the airport, each flight segment went smoothly with no delays and then I was meeting up with another participant, Krista to split a taxi to the hotel.
Since then, I’ve been meeting wonderful people, eating some good food, stuffing swag bags (OMG, AMAZING things in there!), and this morning, had a great workout thanks to Kristen from befitwithkristen.com. Registration starts later this afternoon but I’ve still got a few more things on the schedule before then.
Here are some quick pics I’ve taken.
Swag bags – can’t wait to see what is inside!
New shoes! Thanks Reebok!
Chocolate Chai from Tealuxe – delicious.
Mindy and me – roomies!
Dirty chicken Caesar at Russell House Tavern- loved this place and highly recommend it if you are in Harvard Square.
Dinner was accompanied by a bottle of Woodchuck Cider. I really liked this and would definitely have it again.
After dinner we were off to J.P. Licks for a frozen yogurt/ice cream mini-mingle! We met up with other HLSers.
I enjoyed some Butter Almond ice cream. I would happily eat more of this.
After a good night’s sleep, some of us were up for a workout courtesy of Be Fit With Kristen. She led us through some lower body moves, upper body (with resistance bands), and core moves. Afterwards, we played at the park!
I’m showered and dressed and will soon be off to Whole Foods to have lunch at their hot bar. I’ve never been to a WF so I’m very excited! I probably won’t get to explore Boston while I’m here, but that’s okay – I’m having a great time already at HLS12 and expect it will get better!
